I respect what you said here, and it's been said a lot. But correct me if
I'm wrong ... this plot would only require a few things: 16-20 suicidal
motherfuckers with knives (easy to smuggle on planes), four of which can
steer a commercial airliner (easy enough, as I understand, once it's in the
air). All they'd have to do is get together in a hotel room and plan it to
take place on a certain day, easy enough ... So why does it have to have
been a state, again? Or even Bin Laden ... it actually seems pretty easy to
carry out. Stunningly easy. I wonder where the 4th plane was headed. I
assume the passengers must have gotten the best of the hijackers on that
one.
I think the use of the word "war" is a bit out of place, personally. Could
have been any of a thousand extremist terrorist cells, funded by anyone.
